HELP! Please Assist with My Christmas Card Photo!

A Pine Tree
Perfect for a background!

Christmas Card Shot #1
Kids and Bugsy
(Bugsy is the little tyrant who is sleeping in the garage
during these cold days and he is
taking all the shoes he finds and playing with them!
This morning he had my snow suit - humf)

This is my favorite - except for Sami's dirty coat!

Not the best.. Bugsy as a snowball face
Jake has a severe case of bed head!

Ranch Log... oh dark early... And Five degrees...

Dearest friends and family!!!!
I need some 'hep'! The sun was out for just a brief period this morning while the kids were doing chores. It was gorgeous! Fresh snow from yesterday and the trees are covered in a layer of frosty stuff so I grabbed the camera and got a few shots... I really really need to get our Christmas Card done, and well, would like to use one of these photos...

My dilemma? Sami's coat is dirty! It's her work coat.. sigh... and this is as good as it's going to get because I want to order the cards TODAY so they are just in time for, er, New Years!!

Do any of you have some tips on how to clean that coat up in Photoshop Elements???

Pretty please???? OH! And please pick your fave!

Thanks!

Select the brush tool, choose your brush shape and size, and then choose your color with the dropper, you can click on any part of Sammi's jacket and then just "paint" around it! Or just leave as is, it's real life on your ranch!
Reminds me of a school picture of Paul, he had a cold sore and his hair was all mussed up! One of the one's you always remember.

I like #2, they both have the sweetest expressions on their faces. I also like the dirty coat, its real. I know there is a way to copy color from the clean section and paste it to the dirty section, but I don't know particulars. So, see no real help at all. Love your photos.

I love #2. Their smiles are wonderful. I didn't even notice the coat until you said that. :) Must be a mother thing. What about the digital artwork anything you can pick from their selections that frame in and cover the coat? Doesn't matter. Cute picture, cute kids and bugsy.

Can't help with Photo shop as I am a photo shop dummy! LOL!

Honestly, I would leave, just "boost" it (if you do pioneer woman's free actions in photoshop) and send #2! Love it! It's real, authentic and ADORABLE!!!

My fave is nr.3 - such a natural shot, and can't see the dirty coat on that one !

I don't think the dirty coat would bother anyone a bit. But I do like #3 the best - looks most natural of them all. Great photos!!

I LOVE #3...you could 1. place a digital greeting over the coat. 2. use the cloning tool. Seriously, though, I didn't notice & it really captures what life on the ranch is like...just adds to the character! Perfect! ;)

Hello there sister "cow" girl :D

I'm clueless when it comes to anything to do with pictures &/or computers...but, I have to say I LOVED all the pictures...your kids are soooo adorable..and that pup is sooooo darn cute...just what I need "someday"!!! You can tell he loves the kids and they love him....You truly captured a wonderful memory to be treasured! Happy choosing....and praying you get to stay inside the rest of the weekend...cuddled up in your crafting room! Sweet blessings!

I didn't even notice the dirty coat. I like #1 the best. Another option would be the one I used this year, go sepia or black and white. My card is posted on my blog-I used sepia, and what Cody has on doesn't even really matter. If it would have been colored, it would have stuck out like a sore thumb!
Good luck, and keep us updated!

Hey guys, nothing to do with your post. But just realize feeding is all downhill from here. It is 8 degrees warmer than when I woke up; 20 degrees warmer than when I fed earlier in the week; The Days are officially getting longer and we have Global Warming on our side,

;-}

I'm probably too late, but I like the last picture! Bed head! Hee hee. I think its adorable. They all are..
You should see our Christmas card photo, I wanted to use my new mini horse but he was not liking wearing a garland around his neck, and so he was ornery, and the girls were trying to smile but they were fed up with Mr Ornery butting his head on them....plus we only had a few minutes of daylight that day! I decided to take what I could get and perfection can wait until next year (or never)
