Today is WCMD and all sorts of challenges are going on.   After a day of self imposed honey do's around the house (single mama, been gone a week = boatloads of chores), I finally made a card. :)

Above is a sketch from the Moxie FAB blog: Moxie FAB WCMD Sketch Challenge

Back story: This past week I was in Bend, Oregon for work, and a good friend watched my kittie Rosie, once again!  This is about the third time Katie has come to my rescue to check in on my gato.  And, I am overdue for giving a sweet thank-you gift (chocolates from a super cute little store in Downtown Bend) and card.  So, with that, I was inspired by the sketch. I actually love the way the patterned papers worked with this sketch.

Here is my interpretation (followed to the T, need a card quick!):

WCMD Moxie FAB Challenge Card

 Goodies Used:
Stamps: Kitty:Inkadinkadoo (MEOW collection); Sentiment: Paper Smooches (Sentiment Sampler)
Cardstock, patterned paper (Fancy Pants Beloved collection), vellum:  Simon Says January 2014 Card Kit
Enamel Dot: MME Now and Then

My kittie is orange and white.  So that's her, giving her personal thanks to Katie! Why yes, I will 'sing it' for her:)

Happy WCMD my crafty friends!

WCMD - Studio Calico Sketch Challenge

My take on the sketch (click to enlarge and check out the deets)

Susan Weinroth's Sketch (I flipped it)

On Sunday, I made a card for WCMD for one of the Studio Calico Challenges.  This one is based off one of three sketches that were provided.

This baby took quite some time!
It's not just any card.  It's one that involved 'lots of techniques'.
Using my Silhouette Cameo to cut the title
Stamping (three stamps are used on this card)
Layering patterned papers.  Four different ones!
Punching
Inking.

I flipped the sketch since my wooden banner faced to the right.  I LOVE the sketch!!!!   I need to make a ton of cards to get caught up and this one is perfect for lots of occasions!

Techniques and Supplies:
Use of Silhouette Cameo:  Cut file from Kari Bradford (Celebrate U)
Stamping:  Hero Arts/SC Silhouettes (three stamps: heart, circle sentiment, and grid circle)
Punches: McGill small heart, SU scallop and circle
Ink:  Tim Holtz Distress Inks:  Weathered Wood, Barn Door
PP:  My Minds Eye and October Afternoon
CS: Bazzill
Wood Banner:  MME Everyday Wood Banners

Thanks for looking!!!
