While blurfing the morning Google News I saw an article that Andrew Wyeth died yesterday.
Oh my.
The articles that I have been reading this morning are so degrading of his style and his Art!
Damn the Art Snobs!
So this post is for Andrew.
I have always loved his Art.
Gorgeous American art. Of rural life.
I love the Master Bedroom piece. Every time I have seen it, I have imagined myself right there, looking out the window or curling up with the dog for an summer afternoon nap.
Even before I became a rancher's wife. I have been drawn to his paintings and the lifestyle they have depicted.
Thanks Mr. Wyeth. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous work with all of us.
Peace be with you.

RIP Andrew Wyeth - don't you hate it when critics come out to tear someone apart after they've passed? Disgraceful!
So sad. What a loss of a great talent. I love the bedroom piece too.
He made beautiful art. Hooray for you for honoring him.
I loved his minimalistic art as well! I don't know what makes a person a critic except for an astonishing amount of personal negativity. Beauty is everywhere if you choose to see it. Nice post.
Oh I had no idea he passed away. I loved his art too...
I am afraid I have not really known this artist. Some interesting times he painted - I googled him to see what he painted:)
What a lovely post, Andi. I was never really into his Art so I had no particular attachment but I certainly wasn't offended or put-off. Goodness. He had a real gift, a real talent, something to share with the world. And now he's gone. Well, I honor him with you my dear Cousin.
Bravo Andi! Well said!
